QR codes on City invoices, payments easier than ever
27 October 2023
City customers can now make use of convenient QR codes on their municipal invoices as one of the methods to pay their accounts.
'The integration of the QR code on account holders' municipal invoices transforms payment methods, providing benefits for both the City and its residents. QR codes make payments easier and faster. Customers are able to scan the QR code using their smartphones. This allows easy access to the payment portal, which brings accuracy, efficiency and security to the payment process.
'We know that our account holders expect an efficient, technologically advanced and cost-effective administration The City has the basics right: our large billing system has a 99% accuracy rate and now it is easier than ever to make payments and keep service delivery and this organisation strong and healthy. Thank you to all our account holders for their payments and continues support. The City remains committed to improving and enhancing our service offering to residents and we once again urge customers to make use of online options,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Councillor Siseko Mbandezi.
